Auto-Update Print Catalog Solutions: Always Fresh®
Catalogs Updated Daily With Your Latest Content
Always Fresh® catalogs and brochures are intended to be downloaded from your website. They are for visitors who want your product information while offline, including the ability to easily share that information. They need the QR codes to easily return to your site with their tablet or phone.
Give your customers a way to see all related products in one place. They need a PDF brochure for each category that they can take to meetings, present to management, or show colleagues and friends. At the start of every category on your site, put a link to a PDF catalog that can be easily downloaded and printed.
Your content, including images, is checked every night. If anything has changed, or if products have been added or deleted, the PDF is automatically updated. Always Fresh® ensure that your PDF is always current with your latest content.
Post your link once to your Always Fresh publication. You never need to touch it again. The PDF is updated automatically — the link never changes. Plus you get to specify the name of the link.
All the functionality that you use for your on-demand catalogs and brochures is available for use with the Always Fresh publications. In fact, the process of starting an Always Fresh publication is to first make it as an on-demand publication. Then you indicate that you want that publication to become Always Fresh.
You decide the basis for your Always Fresh publications to be auto-updated. Choose SKU to indicate that it will be updated whenever any of the SKUs change. Choose “SKU Family” to update if there is a change to any SKU in the families, including additions or deletions. Choose “Category” if you want to update whenever there is a change to products in any of the categories you select.
To configure a publication as Always Fresh, go to your job History page and find that publication. Then click the Always Fresh button.
Always Fresh® means your publication will be updated whenever the product data changes. This selection lets you control what will cause the update.
The Link ID is used to create a unique URL for your Always Fresh publication. It can contain a dash (-) or underscore (_), but no spaces or other special characters. You must use a different Link ID for each Always Fresh publication.
An example of a Link ID might be Bar_Stools.
You can post this link on your site, send it to your customers, etc. You can get the URL from the View PDF button. Or you can create it as follows:
1. Start with this: https://www.catalog-on-demand.com/PDF-e-Link/?_&AID=
2. Append your login ID
3. Append the pipe delimiter |
4. Append your Link ID
For example,
https://www.catalog-on-demand.com/PDF-e-Link/?_&AID=someloginID|Bar_Stools
